Flash Point Review
Alternate Ep. Title: “Tony the Tiger is an Archer Who Loves MMA!”
Our third Donnie Yen martial arts movie review/discussion. I guess the old Yenster has grappled his way into your hardened hearts. Certainly a solid followup to the highly-praised Killzone (SPL) at least in terms of the fight choreography and highly-ballistic gun-play. Definitely bringing the goods with the modern day MMA style no-holds-barred street brawling.
While the story and characters weren’t as compelling as they were in Donnie and Yip’s previous Hong Kong cop actioner, Killzone. The highly evolved free-flowing modern day martial arts fight choreography almost made up for the other areas that were lacking. Louis Koo and Collin Chou, of Matrix Reloaded fame, both acquit themselves fairly well. Especially Chou who almost manages to go toe to toe with the Yenster himself. Highly recommended to martial arts fans who can tolerate a very straight-forward/derivative storyline. Trust us, the fight scene at the end has to seen to be believed!
The Hard Cast is looking for some hardcore listeners who are willing to straddle the line between right and wrong! There are those who may accuse us of giving out unfair reviews but there’s a job to do and you better not make it personal or we might have to bust some heads!

Dark Angel (I Come in Peace) Review
Alternate Ep. Title: “Eight @#$%ing Days of Dolph!”
A movie that every self-proclaimed Dolph Lundgren fan should definitely have in their collection. Dark Angel (I Come in Peace) has it all with the over-the-top action, the abundant laughs, fun/memorable characters, and drug dealing aliens with laryngitis. I mean really, what more could you ask for from [...]
Hawk the Slayer Review
Alternate Episode Title: “Voltan: Slayer of the Loaf!”
Probably one the most notoriously bad fantasy B-Movies of all time. They don’t get much more unintentionally hilarious than this one folks. Jack Palance’s performance as Voltan is insanely awful and actually manages to stand out amongst all the other really bad acting. The other big standout would [...]

Alternate Episode Title: “2009’s Top Erection-Inducing Picks!”
2009’s finest movies and games racing towards your ears at the top speed that insanical sideways verbage can achieve! So many entertaining diversions from last year to dissect and so little time to do it in. We have a decent sized crew this go around. This Hard Cast Prime [...]
Daimajin (The Devil Got Angry) Review
Alternate Ep. Title: “Victim of the Sneaky Angry God Reach-Around!”
Bringing down the roof with this underground samurai kaiju cult classic! Often labeled as the premier Japanese art-house monster movie but that description comes across as being kind of snobbish so we’ll just say that it’s an extremely solid entry into our Asian Cinema category. A [...]
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Review
Alternate Ep. Title: “No Matter Where You Go There’s Big BooTe!”
The 80’s sci-fi cult classic starring Peter Weller as a physicist-neurosurgeon-samurai-rock musician-jet car driver-comic book hero who goes by the rather incomparable name of Buckaroo Banzai. One of those flicks that’s not very easy to describe but still quite enjoyable to experience with all its [...]

Alternate Episode Title: “Dances with Wolves Balls Deep in Space!”
James Cameron’s technological marvel is finally out and we’re here to throw in our two cents! Lots of varied opinions/impressions being tossed around but there are a few nuggets of insight to be found amidst the maelstrom of auditory chaos. This episode also marks the debut [...]
Blood: The Last Vampire (Live Action vs Anime) Review
Alternate Episode Title: “Coagulated Expectations!”
A double-whammy of an episode! Both the anime and live action versions of Blood: The Last Vampire are the topic of discussion. Adapting one form of entertainment medium into another is always a tricky process and there’s usually a loss of quality somewhere along the way. Unfortunately, this was definitely the [...]
